Fabric Painting Journal

This week I started painting on fabric and decided to make an art journal which will have only fabric pages. I am painting designs in different sizes and will mix and match as I go along by combining my painted pictures with other pieces of fabric and want to embellish with lace, ribbon, buttons etc. This is such a fun project because now I can also do embroidery on some of my pages and I even want to include some of my crochet work and although I am using fabric paint I don't have to heat set it because it's not something which will go into the washing machine. I can stamp and stencil as well and I even did serviette decoupage on the one with the angel. I will put all the completed pieces together in a book. Here are two of the painted pieces which I have been working on so far.

  3. I made a cloth book a few years ago and I still love to pick it up and hold it every so often. The texture makes these books so special. I love the pages you have created so far.
