SKetch #3

My daily exercise in my watercolor journal. Strange how the things we have around us can be such a challenge to draw! My perspective is a bit out in places but apart from that and a few lines that could have been straighter I am happy.

  1. Your phone sketch is so clear that it looks like a photograph! Great job.

  2. Amazing! Your new watercolor journal is exactly what I would like to be able to do, but I'm not brave to try... watercolors seem very unforgiving if you don't know what you're doing. In your case - it looks like you have been doing it for a very long time. Just amazing.

  5. Thanks for all the great comments!
I think watercolors takes some practice but once you understand how they work it's such a pleasure to use them. When you want to be good in watercolors you need to practice drawing because with a good drawing you have half of the work done and once you have that strong foundation of a good drawing and you know exactly where the shadows and lights are, it is easy to lay down the colors.
