Time

'And is not time even as love is, undivided and paceless?'

~Kahlil Gibran~

Soul journal page. Yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream. Let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing. Live every day to the fullest. It's never too late......

Art Journal Experiment

I have a few pieces of old scrap cardboard just taking up some space and decided to use them and if they come out okay I will bind them all into a journal. I started last night by covering them with some acrylic paint and then added some wall putty with an old credit card and continued working layer over layer by adding some collage elements, markers and pastels as well as gesso and the bird was one of my fabric painting experiments which I did on a small piece of material as well and this is the end result.

Creative Awakenings

This is the way I journal in my personal journal which I fill with mostly writing and just some altered images every now and then. Haven't shown much of this style of journaling on my blog  but thought to share these two pages. I made some prints of my face, altered it a bit and used bodies from other prints and magazines as well as some penwork to complete the altered images. This is such a fun way to explore creativity and it also helps to work through some personal issues when you journal this way. I have a file with clippings from magazines that I keep and use when I do one of these kind of pages.

Markers

Trying my hand by using only markers to create this drawing. I am very interested in drawing cartoons and to start drawing in my journal in an illustrative way. I have been experimenting with markers to see what results can be achieved.  Just wish I can get my hands on some copic markers but the ordinary plain markers will have to do for now.

Altered Art Journal

So I started with a little Altered Art Journal and this is the first pages I have done so far. It's really stretching your creative juices to it's limits and the most exciting thing about it is the fact that you just let your inner self guide you through the process.
