What I have been busy with during the holiday season.

First of all a very Happy New Year to everyone! May 2011 be a year full of wonderful blessings and may it be a year filled with laughter and love. Thank you to all my followers for all the comments and visits during the past year. I appreciate each and every one. 

During the holiday season I had a lot of time to re-think my life and  it was a time of reflection and taking stock of all the things that are important to me. I started a new personal journal which I am not sharing with the world and it is already filled with a lot of writings about all the things I want to change and also all the things I want to improve during this year. I am very good at procrastinating which is one of the things I have to watch out for as well as the fact that I always have such good intentions to exercise but never seem to stick to a routine. Have to work on that! :) 

I started a brand new watercolor journal and will dedicate this one to nature and the natural world around me. I want to explore nature a bit and do sketching outside and this will give me the opportunity to do just that. This is my first page and I am really excited about this journal and enjoyed my morning in the garden sketching these.

 I also did a few pages in my journal and used mainly gouache and watercolors. I love gouache! It's so yummy and rich and colorful! I think it's my new favorite medium to work with.

It's been a wonderful time and sadly the holidays are now over and I have to get back to work but weekends here I come! I will be out with my journal, camera and watercolors to capture all the happenings. Until next time keep well everyone!
